Pentagon pushes back against Benghazi panel's demands

It is close to criminal how much money these people have spent on on partisan bullshit. "Unable to substantiate various conspiracy theories, the committee is now pressing the Pentagon to find people who’ve made odd claims on Facebook and talk radio. It’s long past time for the farce to end."

Citizen Scientists Collected Rare Ice Data, Confirm Warming Since Industrial Revolution

"In 1442, Shinto priests in Japan began keeping records of the freeze dates of a nearby lake, while in 1693 Finnish merchants started recording breakup dates on a local river. Together they create the oldest inland water ice records in human history and mark the first inklings of climate change" Well, obviously Shinto priests and Finnish merchants are part of a global liberal conspiracy! Everybody is in on the conspiracy!

‘Listen, Liberal’ and ‘The Limousine Liberal’

He has a point. We have two few parties. Liberals, Laborites, and Socialists are lumped together in the Democratic Party. Libertarians, Conservatives, and the Religious Right find themselves in the Republican Party. Of these groupings, only Liberals and Conservatives are truly opposites. Where does a Liberal Libertarian (which I count myself as) find a home? Each Party is an uneasy coalition of worldviews that have very little in common as is being starkly displayed by this election cycle's political circus.

Republicans are plotting economic disaster for 2016

"The party's intellectual (sic) apparatus (distinct from the Trumpist insurgency) has more-or-less fully regressed to an economic libertarianism straight out of the 1920s. They view basically all government programs outside of the military and the courts as illegitimate, to be slashed or eliminated wherever possible. The only problem with this is that when you try it, the results are immediate disaster."

This New York Daily News interview was pretty close to a disaster for Bernie Sanders

Both Sanders and Trump have problems with dealing with the reality of government — as do their supporters. Both Sanders and Trump appeal to the same same audience — “working class” Americans who sense that the world they grew up in is disappearing. That world is indeed disappearing. The emerging economies of India and China and other developing nations will continue to utilize a greater share of total world resources. The relative prosperity the USA will decline. Get over it.
