Congress is bad, and shows no sign of getting better. The problem seems to be that the parties have sorted themselves out of overlap. Liberals and Conservatives used to be present in both parties, but now they have taken sides so no compromise is possible. The Senators and Representatives are now the tools of the Money Machine that the parties have become.
