The problem with Segway was not the unions. The problem is that moving along sidewalks made for walking at 3 mph or less mixed with Segways moving at 12 mph is a recipe for disaster. Not to mention the parking problem when arriving at the destination. Great technology, wrong market. Use it in wharehouses. It also did not help the the founder killed himself testing his next generation product.
