These are the regions where Americans are most likely to favor secession

Many would be happy to see them go. A national referendum on which states should be kicked out of the USA should be held. Actually, the USA is not a Union. It is a Federation. That is why we have a Federal government and State governments. The President delivers a "State of the Union" address, but that is a sloppy use of the term.
