Is Google Making Students Stupid?

Socrates was against the new technology of his era - writing. The Internet's ability to allow comments and dialogue partially mitigates his objections. In another complaint about writing it was asserted that the ability to look things up in a book was making people stupid, since memorized texts ensured that a student was aware of all aspects of the situation.
